Hi Everyone, on today’s agenda for my 5K Boot Camp I was to run a half mile. It usually takes me between 15 – 17 minutes to go a mile, so that meant I’d be running for at least 6 or 7 minutes. Up until now, Day 6 of the boot camp, we have only run 30-second intervals with walking in between. So this is a BIG jump. But I was up for the challenge. I did it and now I feel VERY ACCOMPLISHED! I went for a whole hour total with walking on either end of the half mile run.
I admit, I took two 5-second breaks during my half mile run to catch my breath, but I ran at a good clip and finished without feeling horrible. I’m very happy with today’s workout for sure!!!
